Community Involvement

In keeping with the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” Day Air works hard to give back to the community. The Credit Union is committed to improving the financial well-being of its members.

Through community and member service, Day Air has positioned itself as a leader among financial institutions in the Miami Valley.

Social Responsibility

Day Air participates in many activities to support our community. Listed below are just some of the ways Day Air has contributed so far this year.

January 2008	Collected donations for the VFW Hospitality House at the Dayton VA Medical Center
February 2008	Sponsored and volunteered for the City of Kettering February Family Fun Month - Pizza Bingo, Wee Folk Festival, Father/Daughter Dinner and Family Fun Night Provided a financial education seminars for the Sinclair Community College Black Women's Think Tank, First Time Home Buyers, and the Annie Thorton Women's Leadership Conference at the University of Dayton Provided volunteers and financial assistance at Greenmont Elementary school - Family Fun Day, Talent Show, Chili Contest and the End of School Picnic
March 2008	Sponsored and volunteered for Carroll High School Alumni events - Fish Fry, Easter Egg Hunt and Annual Golf Outing Provided financial education seminars to children at the Washington Township Recreation Center, and volunteered at the Kettering Youth Sports Fest Sponsored and volunteered at We Care Arts Events as well as provided financial education to clients
April 2008	Sponsored and volunteered for Miami Valley Youth Career Services, the University of Dayton's Stander Cup, and Oprah's Big Give Sponsored and organized a Community Information Seminar on the Home Foreclosure crisis with the City of Kettering and the Home Ownership Center of Dayton Provided leadership and volunteers for the following: Kettering Rotary, Moraine Rotary, Centerville Noon Optimists, Miami Valley Youth Career Services, City of Kettering Charles I Lathrem Senior Center, Ladies Auxiliary VFW 2800, and Amvets
May 2008	Provided financial education seminars, sponsorship and volunteered for the Kettering-Moraine Branch and Wilmington-Stroop Branch of the Dayton Public Libraries Provided financial education and volunteers to The Oaks of West Kettering, the Sinclair Community College Student Leadership Association, and Girl Scout Troops Provided financial sponsorship and volunteers for the Vandalia Butler Chamber's 1st Annual A Taste at the Crossroads, as well as the American Veteran's Heritage Center Memorial Day events and the VA Medical Center of Dayton
June 2008	Participated in the Children's Miracle Network Telethon and donated $5,493.16 Provided financial education at the East Dayton Baptist Church Volunteered to judge Business Plans for Business Tech students at Fairmont High School in Kettering and volunteered for the City of Kettering Annual Youth Fishing Derby
July 2008	Volunteers served with AmVets representatives at the VA Medical Center to provide lunch and bingo Participated in the VFW Poppy Sales Drive Conducted a donation drive at our offices for the Blue Start Mothers of America
August 2008	Volunteered for the Centerville Police's Mystery Night Out and the UDRI Picnic Provided sponsorship and volunteers for events with Hithergreen Senior Center and the CommUnity Golf Outing
September 2008	Provided volunteers for the City of Kettering Labor Day Parade Donated funds and provided volunteers to serve our elderly, disabled citizen's of Kettering after the wind storm crisis Provided financial education for the Dayton Association of the Deaf

E-Deposits	Day Air was the first in the Miami-Valley to introduce this convenient product! Deposit a check from home, 24/7!
Auto Loan+	A vehicle loan with a savings component added on.
Stretch Pay Loan	This was created to help members avoid the costly payday lenders.
(HELP)	Day Air is working with the City of Kettering to give discounts on Home Equity loans to qualified Kettering residents at discounted loan rates.
Financial Education Seminars	We provide educational seminars to ensure all of our members have the education they need to guard against identity theft, purchasing a car, budgeting money, planning for a prosperous future, and much more!
Free Credit Score Analysis	This is given to any member wanting to improve their credit scores to receive better loan rates and save money.
Coin Sorters at Branches	Day Air installed coin sorters at the Wilmington Pike, Centerville and York Commons branches to give members a way to conveniently and economically count change.
Member Surveys	Day Air ensures quality member service by using member surveys. We want to know how we are doing, so please email us at dayair.org
24-Hour Loan Services	We strive for convenience, which is why we provide 24-hour, 7 days a week loan services, allowing members to apply for a loan on their schedule.
Online Banking	Day Air's Online Banking, including PCU, provides members with 24-hour banking services as well as the ability to pay bills online with our BillPayer service.
Telephone Teller	Our 24-hour, 7-days a week audio response system - for members who don't always have access to a branch or computer.
Prime Time Club Trips	Trips are organized through Joy Tours and Travel for Prime Time Club members.
Newsletters	We mail out quarterly newsletters, to update members of any and all Day Air business.
E-Statements	Day Air is staying green by providing electronic statements to members. Statements can go back as far as 7 years!
Shared Branching	As a CU Service Center, Day Air is part of a network of thousands of shared branches nationwide. Now you can access your account if you are out of town - and especially if you move!
Alliance One ATMs	With our ATM network, Day Air is also able to provide members access to thousands surcharge-free ATMs nationwide through Alliance One.
